The new Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray’s exterior has a bold, futuristic expression with exotic mid-engine proportions, but it is still unmistakably Corvette. It’s lean and muscular, with an athletic sculptural shape conveying a sense of motion and power from every angle. A supercar level of craftsmanship, premium materials and attention to detail were critical in designing every component of the Stingray.​

    The new mid-engine layout gives the Corvette a completely fresh greenhouse with a pair of digital displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. The wraparound arrangement looks cosy and driver-centric, with a beefy center console separating the driver from the passenger. And fans of buttons will love the veritable drag strip of manual controls nestled in the C8’s center spine.​

      If you’re a Corvette fan, you’ll know the current C7 ZR1 hits the 60-mph mark in 2.8 seconds. That means, at least in a short sprint, the new base-model C8 runs side-by-side with the most powerful factory-built ‘Vette of them all. The new mid-engine layout gives the Corvette a completely fresh greenhouse with a pair of digital displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. The wraparound arrangement looks quite cosy and driver-centric, separating the driver from the passenger. The Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray is designed for superior ride comfort on the highway and well-balanced handling on the track. The new Stingray features coil-over dampers that create an entirely new ride and handling characteristics, making the driver’s chassis input instantaneous. Corvette’s structure is built around its backbone: the center tunnel. This enables a light, stiff structure to serve as the foundation for the suspension system to perform in an optimized manner. The car has a solid, connected-to-the-road feel with minimal vibrations at high speeds or on long road trips.
