The New Audi A8

The fourth generation Audi A8 has been revealed recently. Ever since Audi introduced the A8 in competition with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the BMW 7-Series, it has been running second to these strong competitors. Despite having the Quattro drive train and an aluminium spaceframe, the A8 never managed to properly gain traction in terms of the competition.

However, the situation has now changed! This time, the A8 is a game changer with the introduction of the latest technologies. In particular, the new A8 has seen the introduction of Artificial Intelligence and the latest machine learning technologies. Thanks to AI, the Audi A8 can offer a level-3 autonomous driving system up to 37 mph (60 kph). Level-3 autonomous driving means that the driver can do other things whilst the car is in control of everything. The machine learning and the AI technologies means that the car can understand the road and driving situations much better than the systems that can be found in the competing S-Class and 7-Series.

The AI technology of the A8 is also applied to the self-parking system. Consequently, the A8 can park itself much better and is aware of its surroundings better than before. Also, it learns how to park better each time!

The new Audi A8 offers 41 different driving assistance technologies. This is a serious step forward for Audi, and also shapes the future of autonomous driving trends for the industry.

The other innovations for the new A8 are a 48-volt system-based suspension control that can tilt the car for higher safety in the event of a side collision. It can also adjust the suspension settings based on the road terrain to improve the comfort of the ride. The 48-volt system enables the A8 to control its suspension faster than is the case with traditional systems.

For many years, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class was the market leader, and introduced leading edge technologies to the motoring industry. However, this time the new A8 has changed the rules of the game and has introduced a vehicle that is far beyond the S-Class in the tech department.

We believe that the S-Class will still be the market leader for businessmen, political leaders and the elite. The S Class will always be the market leader for luxury saloons However, we can’t ignore the fact that Audi has upped the game and is closing in on Mercedes-Benz.
