Shelby GT500 “Eleanor” recreation, UK Built and Fully restored, Based on a Original 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback.
The car has undergone a full “no expense spared” ground up restoration over a period of 3 years with a complete strip down to the bare chassis, media blasted to remove all paint down to bare metal and re-built like new. This is a high quality build throughout using only the best and highest quality parts and the car features many extras making it one of the best Eleanor recreations available.
Custom and unique to this car is a one-off Black Metallic paint with a Blue Pearlescant Flip, Painted on side stripes and “supersnake” style stripes in Metallic Gunmetal Silver. LED Sequential rear Lights with de-chromed bezels, Mach 1 style Gas cap and Bullit style Chrome mirrors compliment the amazing look.
The Front Shock towers have been removed and a Rod and Customs RC-107 front Coilover suspension Kit, with Chrome Coilovers, and powder coated suspension arms installed with a Power steering Rack and Pinion set up complimented with a Polished Tilt/adjustable Steering Column and a custom made Mota Lita wood Steering wheel .
The rear end benefits from a Heidts 4-Link Rear adjustable Coilover Suspension kit with Chrome coilovers, and Powder coated suspension arms and a New Ford Racing 9” rear axle/housing ,31 spline, 3:70 gear ratio, limited slip differential 3rd member and a New Custom made Propshaft. A New Tremec 5 speed Manual Gearbox with a Aluminium Lightened and balanced Flywheel has also been installed to get the power down to the massive 18 x 9” rear alloys dressed in new Bridgestone rubber.
The car stops as well as it goes with Huge Wilwood 4 – Piston Red painted callipers front and rear with drilled and grooved disc brakes, Wilwood brake master cylinder, adjustable brake bias switch and 7” dual diaghram brake booster. Stainless steel brakes lines have also been fitted.
Engine is the Ford Windsor 5.8 Litre V8. Re-built in the US to a “mild street “ spec with a New “Rear Oil pan”, Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold, Holley 600 cfm Carburettor, March Serpentine Pulley System, MSD Distributor, MSD Blaster 2 coil, and MSD 6A Ignition control, Ford Racing Silicone Leads, Cobra Valve covers, Cobra oval Air cleaner, Stainless steel headers, Custom made downpipes, Mustangs to Fear Side exit exhaust system. March Performance Polished Alternator, Polished thermostat housing, Aluminium 4 –row Radiator with twin electric fans and aluminium fan shroud, Adjustable fan thermostat. Goodyear Hoses.
A Sunpro Dash mounted 7” tacho and Autometer oil pressure, oil temperature and water temperature gauges allow the driver to monitor the engine, whilst a Retro sound Audio system which has USB/memory card/IPOD compatability, and a remote control provides for a high quality sound and keeps in retaining the retro look inside the fully restored interior. A Roll bar, Shelby GT500 Gear shifter with “go baby go” button, Nitrous flick-switch (for show only), GT500 pedal set and floor mats, and a Carroll Shelby signature on the dash remind the driver what a special car it really is.
